Dr. Dumbi Francis Ogwu was born in Lagos, Nigeria, and later moved to Georgia, where he discovered his passion for veterinary medicine.
He earned his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine. Dr. Ogwu chose veterinary medicine because of his desire to help both people and their pets. Throughout his journey, he also embraced the challenge of pursuing a career that many believed would be difficult to achieve. That experience strengthened his determination and inspired him to set an example for others by showing that, with perseverance, hard work, and faith, goals that once seem out of reach can become reality.
As a mixed animal veterinarian, Dr. Ogwu enjoys caring for a wide variety of species and is committed to providing compassionate, high-quality veterinary care while building lasting relationships with clients and their animals. His goal is to ensure every owner feels heard, informed, and confident in the care their animals receive.
Outside of the hospital, Dr. Ogwu enjoys strength training, distance running, and mixed martial arts. He also enjoys spending time with his two dogs, Char and Panther, and with his partner, Carolyn, who is also a veterinarian. Together, they share a passion for animal health and helping animals live long, healthy, and happy lives.
